The Gifts Of Imperfection

I’m reading a great book called, “The Gifts of Imperfection” by Brene Brown.  Last night I read what encapsulates my experience in overcoming depression:

We can talk about courage and love and compassion until we sound like a greeting card store, but unless we’re willing to have an honest conversation about what gets in the way of putting these into practice in our daily lives, we will never change.

A person can talk all day about overcoming debilitating mental struggles.  They can think positive, happy thoughts about it every waking hour.  But until a person is ready to have an honest conversation about what is getting in the way of healing, and then do something about it, nothing will change.  Ever.

I will forever be grateful that when I was ready to have the honest conversations about what was getting in the way of my healing, there were mentors who were one step ahead of me who tutored me in what to do next.

What are you waiting for?  Write it out.  You may learn something about yourself and why it seems scary to move forward, or why you believe healing is not possible, or why you are stuck, or why you lack courage, or why it’s easier to be a victim, or …

Are you ready to have the honest conversation and then DO something?

It matters!

Let's do this!

Hi!
I'm Coach Mandy-Marie

In 2010, I was overwhelmed with depression and stressed about what the future held. I knew there HAD to be answers.

I found them. These answers became solutions to facing my fears, replacing self-sabotage, and embracing my worth that have set me free to move through personal and parenting challenges. I’ve been teaching these solutions to clients for 10 years.

I want the same for you!
