I just read Rachel Hollis’ book, “Girl, Wash Your Face.” It is all about the lies we tell ourselves. She candidly shares how lies have shown up in her life and what she did to recognize them and eradicate them.
She asks a very poignant question in chapter 5: “Imagine someone else describing your relationships to you. Would they say your relationships are healthy?”
What answer do you come up with? Sometimes it’s helpful to hear someone else’s perspective because we can’t see through the fog of our own stories.
Take a good, long, deep look. What results do you want in your relationships? What lies are keeping you from realizing them?
I invite you to make a list of 5 things you want in your relationships. Knowing WHAT you want is the first step to creating it.
It matters!
