Many women spend summer trying to become more impressive instead of more supported.
I think many women quietly enter summer believing they need to create a meaningful experience for everyone else.
The fun memories.
The activities.
The emotional atmosphere.
The steady version of themselves.
For mothers with children at home, that pressure can become especially intense this time of year.
But I also see this in women without children at home too.
The pressure to keep everyone okay.
To hold relationships together well.
To make life feel good for everyone around them.
And underneath it all can be a quiet belief that they need to become a “better version” of themselves before they’re allowed to fully enjoy the season too.
But the people you love do not need a perfect version of you.
They need a woman who knows how to stay connected to herself inside real life.
A woman who can pause.
Adjust rhythm.
Rest without guilt.
Repair when needed.
Laugh sometimes.
Say no sometimes.
I think many women spend summer trying to become more impressive…
instead of becoming more supported.
And those are not the same thing.
With care,
