Last night, my husband and I found ourselves reflecting on a miracle—the fact that I no longer struggle with depression. It’s a truth that still amazes me, especially when I look back at the journey that led me here.
It all started in 2010, with a simple yet profound question: “I wonder if there is an answer to the depression I’ve had for 10 years…???” This question, though small, was the spark that ignited change. It was the beginning of a new chapter, one where I dared to imagine a life without the heavy weight of depression.
That question led me to take my first steps in a new direction, one that held the possibility of different results. Little did I know, I had begun to write a new story—and it changed everything. Literally. 🌟
Since then, my life has transformed in ways I never could have imagined. We moved cities, built and lived in our dream home for seven years, and then relocated to our dream location—an airpark—three years ago. But it wasn’t just the physical changes that marked this journey. It was the emotional resilience I found within myself as I faced challenges I never thought I would have to endure, including a child distancing themselves from my husband and me and another child leaving the faith we had taught them.
Looking back, I realize with full confidence that none of this would have been possible if I had stayed stuck in the story that depression was something I simply had to live with forever.
The truth is, your story matters. Every word you tell yourself shapes your life. And if there’s something in your current story you’re ready to change, now is the time to start writing a new one. 📆
I’m excited to invite you to my FREE New Year New You Story Workshop, happening January 15, 2025. Let’s explore how you can rewrite your own story and step into the life you’re meant to live.
Your story matters—make it count.
