But recently, my breakthroughs are challenging all of that–and it came not through action, but through stillness.

The Loop I Couldn’t Quiet

Remember the difficult conversation? The challenge kept spinning in my mind.

Not spinning in drama or blame–just stuck in responsibility.

“Maybe I need to initiate another talk…”
“I should try again to clear the air.”
“This won’t sit right unless I do something about it.”

It wasn’t loud.
It was subtle.
But it was there.

That internal pressure to do more in order to feel at peace is a quiet form of bondage.

The Practice That Created a Shift

That’s when a friend suggested something called Morning Pages:
Three handwritten pages, first thing every morning, no censoring, no agenda. Just write until you fill the space.

I’ve taught a similar process for years: Write • Burn • Learn. This was different in two key ways:

✨It had to be done every day

✨It had to be three full pages, no matter what

So I committed.

Day 1? It felt endless.

Day 2 and 3? Still heavy.
I was tempted to stop once I had “enough” insight but I didn’t.

Then on Day 4, something shifted.

The Breakthrough on Page Three

By the time I reached that third page, I wasn’t venting; I was listening.

And in that final stretch of writing, I heard a truth I already knew but hadn’t yet received:

You don’t need to fix this.
You’re not responsible for controlling the outcome.
You’re already walking in alignment.

It landed with clarity.
And I felt peace I hadn’t been able to generate on my own.

I didn’t need a new conversation.
I didn’t need to figure it out.

I needed space to remember what was already true.

This is What Freedom Looks Like
This was the breakthrough.

The next level of freedom isn’t about doing more.
It’s about receiving what’s already true.

When we’re constantly overfunctioning, peace feels out of reach.
But when we create space to listen, peace rises.
